Our organization is dedicated to Historic Preservation within the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Historic District, a landmarked area in
Ft. Greene, Brooklyn.
It focuses on designated landmarked buildings such as the iconic Williamsburg Savings Bank building and clock tower and the 19th century row houses that line most of the streets in the District including St Felix Street.
Its interests lie in protecting this
designated area from inappropriate
luxury housing including at
130 St Felix Street where a mega-
skyscraper will tower over 4 story
row houses. It further strives to
protect such an area from political
and financial rezoning giveaways
to developers.
